What to Wear

I often get asked about what to wear for photo sessions. Keep in mind that I am no fashion guru, but do know what will photograph well.

Remember that you want a polished look to your outfits which will make your photographs look cohesive and keep them looking timeless.  Please stay away from the following: shirts with logos, t-shirts, sleeveless shirts,  and all same colored outifits (everyone wearing white shirts with khaki pants).

The easiest way to coordinate outfits for your family is by choosing one item of clothing that has a pattern. Dress others in your family by pulling colors out of that pattern. You can mix solids with patterns freely. You can also match colors by choosing the same tone, but not necessarily the same color.

These outfits were assembled using this concept. Use as much or little color as you wish. If you have two girls or two boys, you can always double up on the outfits.
