Can you believe he’s one already? I probably say that every time I see my clients at their one-year sessions. BUT, it’s true! Little B has grown up so quickly this year! I met up with his family the other day for B’s one-year session and a cake smash. Isn’t he the cutest little thing ever? The bow tie just pushes the cuteness factor beyond bearable! I have a weak spot for bow ties!

I will always remember the day I met my friend Shalice. We were at the park with our children and she struck up a conversation with me about life with twins. We’ve been friends ever since. Hers are 6 months older than ours and it was nice to see a preview of how ours will be in six months. I love how she’s always there for me. I am thankful for that day in the park. If you know her and her family, you know that they are funny, sweet, generous, and compassionate. I am very lucky to be able to capture these images for them. They are such a loving family.

Look who’s one! I love it when I get to see my newborns again. Don’t you just love these curls? This little man had his running shoes on for our session. I guess he knew I needed the exercise.

I think he was about done with me at this point.

We ended things with a little cake smash. I think all was forgiven once cake came into the picture.

Can you believe it’s been six months? I cannot. I’ve been honored that they have entrusted me with their maternity, newborn, and now B’s six months photos. I love getting to see them become this cute little family. I think it’s my favorite part, well besides the singing, silliness, and strange noises that I make while trying to capture these images. Let’s just say, I have a lot of fun. But how can you not? When I met this family, it felt like I’ve known them for years and they are the sweetest family you’ll ever meet. I am so lucky to have such nice clients.

I just recently met little K. She was such a dream to photograph. Her mom also was so brave and waited until K was born to find out her gender. I was secretly hoping she would be a girl since we’ve had so many boys lately and I missed using all these cute flower headbands and girly colors.

First-borns of the house. K is so lucky to have Pata watch over her. I’m sure she loves all the kisses from Pata too!

Who doesn’t love a cute little newborn? This one was no exception and was sweet as ever! Congrats mom and dad on such a handsome and easy little B. We definitely had fun with some hats! Mom bought some hats off of my favorite site, Etsy. One of Dad’s students knitted some cute head gear, and grandma passed down one of dad’s old newborn hats. Little B is so lucky to be surrounded by such love!

Have I told you lately that I love newborns? They are the sweetest things and the best part is that they can’t run away from me yet! Little L was no exception. He made his debut earlier than expected. Maybe this is a sign of things to come. Mom and Dad, this is so cliche but I’m going to say it anyway. Baby him as long as you can. They grow up so quickly!

I was very honored when this mom-to-be contacted me for a maternity session. She was referred by a friend and that made my day! I love referrals because it means that the person trusts and loves my work enough to send someone else my way. Normally, a blog post for a January outdoor session could start out something like this, “It was a cold and dreary January day…” but this day was nothing near that! It was beautiful, warm, and sunny! These parents-to-be were so cheery and bright that it would have warmed up any day! I love how laid back they were and so sweet to each other.
